Characteristics:
- FACW

- no hairs (smooth) on leaf mid–vein and sides of leaves
- hairs in lines or absent from stem
- leaves narrow, slender, smooth
- central axis straight upright
- numerous small heads on long peduncles

- yellow central disk, then brownish at maturity
